Equality Florida's Executive Director Nadine Smith attended a private dinner with President Obama. She was among 30 or so community leaders and political activists invited for a Q & A.
Nadine took the time to thank President Obama for his efforts to pass Hate Crimes, repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell end anti-LGBT discrimination in health care. She also urged further action to end marriage and employment discrimination.
"I was able to talk one-on-one with the President about the challenges my family faces and the complexity of gaining or losing protections for my wife and my son as we cross state lines."
