Robin Schwartz, Longtime LGBTQ Leader, Joins Equality Florida Staff
New Miami based Field Organizer, Shreyas Amol Jethwani is tenth South Florida team member.
MIAMI, FL - Equality Florida is proud to announce Robin Schwartz as the new Miami Development Officer. Schwartz is one of the most experienced and effective leaders in South Florida’s LGBTQ community. She is a co-founder of Aqua Foundation for Women where she has served most recently as Managing Director. She is also chair of the LGBTQ Advisory Committee of Miami Beach and in past years has been a committee member of the GLBTQ Projects Fund at the Miami Foundation and vice chair of Miami Beach Pride’s Board. In addition to her nonprofit experience, she has an extensive record of success in business, including achieving record sales for Konica Minolta. For the past five years, Schwartz has worked as a loan originator at Caliber Home Loans.
“We’ve known and worked with Robin for more than a decade are very excited to have her as a member of our staff,” said Stratton Pollitzer, Equality Florida’s Deputy Director. “Robin’s deep ties to the Miami-Dade community, her dedication to LGBTQ equality, and her passion for ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table make her the perfect fit for this role.”

Robin’s role will include fundraising, serving as the liaison between Equality Florida and the Miami community, and producing events to spread awareness and support of Equality Florida’s work.
Also joining the South Florida staff is Shreyas Amol Jethwani who will serve as South Florida field organizer.
Amol is a former candidate for The Florida House of Representatives, a seasoned organizer, and was awarded the 2017-18 Spirit of the Florida College Democrats for his University of Florida campus initiatives. He worked on the Nikki Fried for Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Campaign before joining the Equality Florida Team as the Municipal Campaign Organizer converting strategy into electoral victories in Jacksonville, Tampa, and Miami-Dade County. Amol will oversee the execution of local policy campaigns, electoral engagement, and community coalition building for Equality Florida in South Florida.
With 35 staff spread across 9 Florida cities and 320,000 members and volunteers, Equality Florida is the largest state-based LGBTQ advocacy organization in the country.
