Equality Florida Action PAC Launches Virtual Days of Action for 2020 Election

With less than 100 days left until General Election Day, Equality Florida Action PAC is advancing the largest pro-equality voter mobilization program in it's 23 year history.

Equality Florida Action PAC and our volunteers have already been hard at work engaging with pro-equality voters and making sure they receive their vote-by-mail ballots. As part of this effort, we have texted over 250,000 voters across the state - but we're far from finished.

With the August primary right around the corner, we are shifting focus to our Get Out The Vote campaign for candidates endorsed by the Equality Florida Action PAC that will champion LGBTQ issues. Volunteers will have the opportunity to make calls and/or text to Get Out The Vote!

Equality and Justice for LGBTQ people are on the ballot this year. Join us by RSVPing for a Day of Action below to ensure victory in the 2020 Primary Election.

About Our Candidates:

Shevrin Jones for Florida Senate District 35
Shevrin Jones is on the cusp of making sunshine state history! If elected, Shevrin will serve as the first openly LGBTQ member of the Florida Senate and is top state legislative priority for Equality Florida Action PAC in 2020. A proud co-sponsor of the Florida Competitive Workforce Act, Shev has been an unflinching advocate for civil rights, LGBTQ rights, and the rights of all marginalized people. For two years in a row he has built bipartisan coalitions and passed laws that help to curb Florida’s HIV epidemic. This year he made national headlines when he passionately fought against arming classroom teachers, even as he earned overwhelming support for reproductive justice reforms and the rights of incarcerated women.

Michele Rayner for Florida House District 70
As a civil rights lawyer, Michele has an impressive record as a champion fighting for racial justice and an advocate for equality. She is poised to make history as the first out Black queer woman elected in our state. Equality Florida is headquartered in St. Petersburg. We know this community will be inspired by her history of standing up for the most vulnerable, for her fearlessness in calling out injustice and her commitment to finding solutions rooted in the values of equality for all.

Javier Estevez for Florida House District 105
Equality Florida Action PAC is proud to stand with Javier in his campaign to represent House District 105. Javier has been working for years on the frontlines and focusing on the issues that matter most to the voters of House District 105. In the Florida Legislature, we know he’ll continue that fight. As an out and proud LGBTQ candidate, Javier brings an experience and authenticity we need more of in Tallahassee. We need a Florida where every family, regardless of who you are or who you love, has the same chances at success. In the race for Florida House District 105, Equality Florida Action PAC, our members, and our voters are all in for Javier Estevez - Florida’s next LGBTQ state lawmaker.

Alex Barrio for Florida House District 43
Alex is running one of the most competitive primaries in the state and has earned a 100% score on the Equality Florida Action PAC candidate questionnaire. Alex has committed to fight on day one to pass statewide nondiscrimination protections for our community and to preserve marriage equality from attacks. Equality Florida Action PAC is proud to endorse Alex Barrio in this critical and competitive race for Florida House District 43.

Jasmen Rogers-Shaw for Florida House District 95
Jasmen is running one of the most competitive primary races this election season. As an out member of the LGBTQ community, she's ready to fight on day one for statewide LGBTQ nondiscrimination protections, believes in reproductive freedom and has pledged to work to preserve the right to marry who we love from extremist attacks. Equality Florida Action PAC is proud to endorse Jasmen Rogers Shaw in this critical election for Florida House District 95.
