Equality Florida Announces Summer Intern Cohort

Equality Florida, the state’s largest LGBTQ advocacy organization, hires a dynamic cohort of interns for the 2021 Summer term. The internship program includes various cities, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and languages.

"With the LGBTQ intolerance coming from Tallahassee, Equality Florida’s commitment to investing in the future of Florida’s LGBTQ movement is more vital now than ever. With this team, we will be able to meet LGBTQ Floridians where they are,” said Equality Florida Field Director Wes Davis. “This team is the heart of the foundation that will build long-term, sustainable infrastructure to ensure full equality for LGBTQ Floridians.”

This cohort is working on a variety of projects, such as engaging digital supporters, educating the community on trans rights at Pride events, ensuring comprehensive LGBTQ guidelines in school districts, and researching legislative issues
