Homophobia and Racism: A Community Dialogue Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum (2240 9th Ave. S.) Join local leaders including Equality Florida and city councilman and this year's Grand Marshal, Steve Kornell as the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum hosts a community forum on "Homophobia and Racism" which will create a dialogue for open discussion confronting prejudice. The event is free and open to the public. Harlem Renaissance Opening Celebration Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum (2240 9th Ave. S.) We will further host an opening night reception and preview of the Harlem Renaissance exhibit "As Gay as it was Black" featuring Zora Neal Hurston and Langston Hughes. The evening will conclude with a soiree in the beautiful Legacy Gardens at the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum, to include scrumptious foods, drinks and dancing.
