House Committee Assignments Out
For all of you political nerds out there, exciting news today! Speaker Cretul has released the 2009/2010 Council and Committee Assignments.
Committees are at the heart of the legislative process, this is where bills die or get a stamp of approval to head to the full chamber. The folks listed as chairs of the committee have full discretion over which bills are heard in their committee. And as expected, all of the chairs and vice chairs are Republicans.
Take a look at the folks on this list and schedule a meeting with your legislator to talk to them about the issues important to you as an LGBT person. If you want to schedule a meeting with your legislator, e-mail me at [email protected].
