School district passed new policy despite warnings it violated federal law
On Thursday, September 17, dozens of Pensacola residents and community leaders came out to speak up in favor of a fully-inclusive Human Rights Ordinance! The Pensacola City Council voted to move the HRO to a workshop on November 9th to discuss the issue further.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – With the Supreme Court expected to rule on marriage by the end of this month, Equality Florida and Freedom to Marry today released a second television ad demonstrating the broad base of support for marriage equality.

PANAMA CITY - A group of local activists sponsored a town hall meeting Thursday night in support of gay rights. They believe the tide is turning in their favor in the legal battle over same sex marriages. One local coupe at tonight's meeting is part of a lawsuit to legalize gay marriages here in Florida.
As the gay-rights movement gains ground nationally, Florida has some work to do to catch up and provide equal protection to all its citizens.
