Join Equality Florida for “Equality is Fashionable,” the St. Pete Virtual Equality Connection on Thursday, September 17th at 6pm.
We are excited to announce, fashion pioneer and “father of New York Fashion Week,” Stan Herman as a live guest during this special event. Stan is a three-time Coty award-winner and former 16-year President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. With a career spanning over four decades, He is an innovator in uniform design, designer of robes and lounge wear, and a leader in fashion’s most successful fund raiser for AIDS, 7th on Sale.
In addition to Stan’s appearance, “Equality is Fashionable” will entertain and inform. The fabulous Matthew McGee will emcee the hour and half event featuring local fashion designers, retailers and artists including Ekeko Gallery, Jackie Z Style Co., Jeneca Luckey, Kyle X Kilgore, Sharpe Suiting, and Tampa Bay Fashion Week designers!
Equality Florida’s Senior Political Director, Joe Saunders will give an update on our largest pro-equality voter education and mobilization program in its 23-year history.
We’ll also be joined by St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor and City Administrator, Dr. Kanika Tomalin, to talk about St. Pete Eats: A Cookbook, featuring recipes from St. Pete’s favorite restaurants and with proceeds supporting the City of St. Petersburg’s Fighting Chance Fund to help businesses impacted by COVID-19.
