In an about face, the Pasco County Clerk now says same-sex marriages can be performed on county property.
Last week, Paula O'Neill said while she would issue licenses, she would not be performing ceremonies at the courthouse -- whether couples were gay or straight.
But Monday, O'Neill told us that after hearing from constituents, she will have a notary and a judge on standby to perform ceremonies.
She says a judge will decide whether to waive the three-day waiting period on a case-by-case basis.
If so, a notary will do the ceremony on county property..."
