Hi everyone, I’m Quinn! I've lived in Orlando since 2017 after moving up from Fort Lauderdale to attend UCF, where I received a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Psychology. I was a fellow at Equality Florida for a year before joining the organization as a Community Organizer in 2022, primarily focusing on LGBTQ+ rights, education issues, labor organizing, and student organizing efforts in Central Florida. My personal organizing philosophy is that lasting change happens one person at a time, and that everyone has the ability to become the change they want to see!

I was born and raised in Miami to Cuban parents. I've always been driven by a passion to fight for justice and against oppressive power structures. I've been an organizer on a lot of different fronts throughout my life and I know that will never change. I graduated from Florida International University with my bachelor's in Political Science and I was active on campus organizing popular education events with fellow students, anti-fascist organizing, and fighting for racial justice. I used to teach in the Miami-Dade school system and was an active union member in my school. After that I worked for a local labor union as a researcher aiding the labor movement in its growth in South Florida.
When I'm not spending my free time with friends and family I try to stay active in other organizing projects dear to me and my principles. I have been involved in and continue to organize against food insecurity through food distributions and community gardening, anti-carceral and legal support organizing against the prison industrial complex, and political prisoner support within the USA and abroad.
