Darcel Stevens - Orlando

Darcel Stevens is a woman of many talents, accomplishments, and lived experiences. Having attended the University of Florida and proudly served in the United States Army, Darcel has built a reputation as a comedian, entertainer, political and social activist, and community advocate dedicated to uplifting and protecting Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ communities.

Known for quick wit, sharp improvisational humor, and commanding stage presence, Darcel has become a celebrated figure in the world of drag entertainment and pageantry. Accomplishments include earning prestigious titles such as Miss National at Large, Miss Continental Plus, and Miss FL Universo Latina 2022. With performances spanning Florida and across the nation, Darcel continues to captivate audiences through a unique blend of comedy, glamour, authenticity, and heartfelt storytelling.

Beyond entertainment, Darcel has established a powerful reputation as a political and social activist dedicated to uplifting and protecting marginalized communities. In 2023, Darcel organized “The Drag Queen’s March,” a historic statewide mobilization that united more than 540 drag entertainers and allies at the Florida State Capitol in protest of discriminatory anti-drag legislation. The event became a defining moment of visibility, solidarity, and resistance for Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.

Professionally, Darcel serves as Harmony Healthcare’s Outreach Manager and Marketing Specialist, where strategic marketing, innovative outreach initiatives, and community partnerships are utilized to expand awareness surrounding HIV prevention, sexual health education, healthcare access, and harm reduction services — particularly within marginalized and underserved communities. Through advocacy and outreach, Darcel remains deeply committed to bridging gaps in healthcare access while creating safe and affirming spaces for all people.

Darcel’s dedication to community service and advocacy has earned widespread recognition, including the Equality Florida 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award, the Orlando Come Out With Pride Award, the Chuck Hummer Award, the Orlando Social Justice Award, multiple Watermark WONDER Awards for community activism, the 2023 Naples Pride Award, and the 2023 Rainbow Awards Outstanding Community Service Recipient, to name a few.

While widely recognized for a brassy personality, unapologetic authenticity, and larger-than-life presence, those closest to Darcel know an individual deeply committed to compassion, mentorship, and service. Whether advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, supporting charitable causes, mentoring young entertainers, or simply showing up for the community, Darcel Stevens continues to use visibility, voice, and influence to inspire change and leave a lasting impact wherever the fabulous journey leads.
