All Together Now Conference
Equality Florida's Safe and Healthy Schools program is working across the state with senior leadership, including superintendents, to assist districts in becoming more inclusive for all students and shift school culture by operationalizing gold star best practices to ensure students' safety and well-being. As part of these efforts, we host an annual All Together Now Conference to provide dynamic programming that includes sessions such as a superintendent's roundtable discussion, family acceptance panels, GSA workshops, and legal expert testimonials.
No other state has ever addressed LGBTQ+ student welfare on this scale and supportive services specifically targeted for LGBTQ+ youth are essential to ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
The 2020 All Together Now Conference included 39 school districts and 230 participants who are senior leadership in their respective districts. In 2021, our presenting platform with be virtual, the first time in seven years, and participant registrations are expected to increase exponentially. Individuals regularly joining us are district officials such as superintendents, school board members, attorneys, student services directors, equity coordinators, mental health specialists, district PTA presidents, etc. This conference is led by Equality Florida’s Safe and Healthy Schools Program and is a joint project of Equality Florida, leading school districts statewide, and Safe Schools South Florida.
The All Together Now Conference is a central event of Equality Florida Institute's Safe and Healthy Schools Program, and we encourage you to watch the video below to learn more about its impact and reach.
