Condolence Message & Candlelight Vigil for India Clarke

Family, friends as well as the entire LGBT community are grieving over the murder of India Clarke, a transgender woman of color whose body was found Tuesday morning at the University Area Community Center in north Tampa.

India's death marks the 10th transgender woman murdered in the U.S. already this year.

Please join Equality Florida and TransAction Florida in sending a condolence message to India's family during this difficult and tragic time.

At 8 p.m. Friday, July 24, community members will hold a candlelight vigil in honor of India at Lykes Gaslight Square Park in downtown Tampa. We hope you will join us there to commemorate India’s life and to renounce yet another senseless murder of someone in our community.
