CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral city leaders have approved domestic partnership registry.
The partnership will allow couples to receive certain legal rights currently not afforded to those who aren't legally married in the state of Florida.
Cape Coral would now join Punta Gorda as one of the only Southwest Florida cities to have this registry. For more than 3 decades Jeff Beal and Ted Campbell have been standing side by side in sickness and in health.
"We've been together for 31 years recently married in Rhode Island after all that time we love living in Cape Coral but also have serious concerns," Cambell said.
