The 12th Annual All Together Now Conference Brought Together 115 Education Leaders for LGBTQ Students in Florida

At a time when many educators in Florida face increasing pressure simply for supporting LGBTQ students, Equality Florida recently hosted our 12th Annual All Together Now Conference.
This conference brought together 115 education leaders from across the state who are committed to ensuring every young person can attend a school where they feel safe, respected, and supported.
Participants represented the full spectrum of people shaping school climate across Florida, including school board members, union representatives, PTA leaders, mental health professionals, researchers, statewide education leaders, and more. Throughout the day, attendees shared strategies, strengthened partnerships, and had honest conversations about how to continue supporting students while navigating an increasingly complex educational landscape.
Many attendees reflected on the important role Equality Florida’s Safe and Healthy Schools program plays in helping districts interpret policy, develop guidance, and build support systems that ensure no student is left behind.
This year’s conference had one of the most impactful keynote remarks delivered by Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers. Randi reminded our leaders that they are not alone and that educators across the country stand in solidarity with them as they continue this important work in Florida.
For twelve years, the All Together Now Conference has brought together education leaders who refuse to look away when students need support. At a moment when leaders feel pressure to step back, this conference ensures that they stand strong in their values and commitments.
Each year this gathering grows in strength and credibility, reinforcing a simple truth: education professionals across our state remain deeply committed to ensuring every student feels safe, respected, and supported at school.
