Charlie Cranson
Charlie joined the Equality Florida team in 2024 as a Fellow for two semesters before stepping into their unique role as Field and Communications Associate. In this position, they are looking forward to uplifting the community’s voice, enhancing communications, and helping volunteers maximize their impact.
Charlie is a passionate LGBTQIA+ rights advocate, often described by others as a “walking pride flag.” They were elected President of their university’s LGBTQIA+ student organization and have continued education and advocacy for queer and trans communities since graduating with a journalism degree in 2015.
Based in Jacksonville, Charlie lives with their partners and their two cats. In their free time, Charlie enjoys a number of creative pursuits, including writing, painting, building cosplay, learning any instrument they can get their hands on, and running their queer craft business with their partners.
