Ida V. Eskamani
Ida V. Eskamani serves as Senior Director of Economic Justice at State Innovation Exchange (SiX), organizing a network of state legislators across the country wielding people-centered state governing power. In her role, Ida leads the organization’s 50-state economy agenda, focused on tax, worker power, and affordability, with an emphasis on challenging concentrated power and building an economy that works for working families. Before joining SiX, Ida was Policy Director for Florida For All leading several legislative campaigns and coalitions, and served as Legislative Aide to now-Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith. She also serves on several local and statewide boards, including previously serving on the Contigo Fund community board in Central Florida. She is a first-generation American, the daughter of working-class immigrants from Iran, and a proud alumni of the University of Central Florida. She is also a freelance music writer for the Orlando Weekly, her hometown’s alternative paper. Ida believes power can be built everywhere and that solidarity is our superpower.
