Last year, hundreds of people from across the state joined us for the kick-off of our Pride At The Capitol campaign in Tallahassee. And it worked! Equality Florida helped defeat or neutralize 21 out of 22 anti-LGBTQ bills. Now, as we prepare for the upcoming 2025 Legislative Session — the 60 most dangerous days in Florida — it's up to us to show up, make our voices heard, and hold lawmakers accountable for their actions.

What Is Pride At The Capitol?

Pride at the Capitol is our campaign to show up and fight back against Governor Ron DeSantis and his legislative allies’ bills aimed at taking our freedoms, censoring our voices, and infringing on our rights. This is our time to mobilize our community and allies to defeat as many harmful bills as possible, reduce the damage of any legislation that may pass, and champion our proactive legislation. That's why we need you at our Pride at the Capitol kick-off! You'll have opportunities to testify at committee hearings, meet with lawmakers to share your story, take part in rallies, and speak to the media. Our Pride at the Capitol Kick-off event in Tallahassee on March 18 & 19 is just the beginning, as we show up to the fight all session long!
