Amy Phillips

Amy is Equality Florida’s Staff Accountant. Before joining the Equality Florida team in May 2024, Amy was a long-time Equality Florida volunteer in the Orlando area and attended numerous events such as Pride at the Capitol, Board of Medicine and Board of Education meetings, as well as various marches and rallies.

Amy is one of three State Chapter Leaders for Free Mom Hugs, another non-profit dedicated to embracing the LGBTQIA+ community that is close to her heart.

Amy brings 20+ years of accounting experience to the Finance and Accounting team at Equality Florida. She will use this to help the organization operationally, while continuing to participate in the organization’s advocacy and activism.

In her free time, Amy loves music, enjoys playing board games with her family, baking, and reading. She lives in Sanford with her husband and the youngest of their three children, as well as two rescue dogs, two guinea pigs, and a cat.
