Benjamin Stinson-Hurwitz

Benjamin Stinson-Hurwitz (he/him) has been an ally since birth. Coparented by a lesbian couple in NYC and a gay couple in Miami, he has spent his life using his friendly personality and passion to be a bridge between other straight, cisgender people and LGBTQ equality. Ben grew up alongside Equality Florida, attending events with his parents and volunteering politically with the organization for years. After studying International Relations and Political Science at Eckerd College and FIU, he beelined for the political team at Equality Florida and got his professional start in progressive, campaign politics as a Field Organizer in the 2020 election.

Since 2020, Ben has grown his political acumen learning under Political Director Joe Saunders and the Field team and has become an expert in local and state level Florida Politics. He now stewards the Equality Florida Action PAC endorsement process as the Statewide Candidate Program Manager and maintains relationships with electeds, candidates and political experts statewide.
