Graphic Design Intern Job Description

The Communications Department:

Equality Florida’s Communications Department aims to support other departments while maintaining consistency in strategy and branding and maximizing impact and reach of messaging. The Communications Department is responsible for statewide and local eBlasts, social media, analytics and reporting, online and print materials, branding, and strategic support.

Supporting the Communications Department:

The intern will work closely with the Design Manager to learn best practices in non-profit design with an emphasis on digital and print materials. This is a remote position and the graphic design intern will be required to work up to 10 hours per week for 10 weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Design clear engaging graphic communications for print and web
  • Assist the Design Manager with digital and print projects
  • Assist with collateral updates
  • Proof online and print materials

Successful candidates should:

  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop
  • Have the ability to work in a fast ­paced, dynamic work environment
  • Have strong proofing skills
  • Be organized with a proven attention to detail
  • Have experience working with Google Docs

Location: Statewide

Commitment:
10 hours a week / 10 total weeks per semester

Pay:
$12/hour for the semester
