DNC Chair DWS on the President's LGBT Record
This morning I had the chance to be a part of a young leaders meeting with Congresswoman and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She talked about her decision to run for office at the age of 26, and what we can expect heading into the 2012 election. I had the opportunity to ask her about the President's record on LGBT rights, and what she would say to LGBT voters as we head into the 2012 election.
Here's what she had to say:
"We have so much that we've accomplished for the LGBT community. And it's incredibly important that we send President Obama back to Washington after next November so that we can continue the fight. Because this, the fight for LGBT equality is the civil rights movement of our generation, and it's absolutely critical."
