Meet-Up for Equality

Equality Florida launched the Meet-Up for Equality program in the summer of 2005 as a mechanism for fair-minded Floridians throughout the state to get involved in making Florida a fair and safe place to live and work for everyone.

This program arose out of the recognition that Equality Florida’s mission, of building a state of equal rights in Florida, depends upon the participation, commitment, generosity  and talent of Florida’s LGBT and allied community in every corner of our state.

Meet-Up for Equality groups are dedicated to achieve important goals that affect our daily lives, including:

• Making our Schools Safe
• Protecting Our Relationships
• Overturning Florida’s Anti-Gay Adoption Ban, and
• Fighting an anti-marriage constitutional amendment
