Yesterday, Newt Gingrich had an encounter with a gay Iowa voter and did something unusual: told him to vote for the other guy.
Professor Scott Arnold approached Gingrich and asked how he plans to engage voters who support LGBT rights and specifically marriage equality. Gingrich acknowledges that he won't get the support of those voters.
"If that's the most important issue to you then you should be for Obama." I couldn't have said it better myself, Newt. Watch the exchange at The Washington Post.
Lately, many of the Republican contenders have been challenged about their beliefs on LGBT rights. It seems to happen to Michelle Bachmann every where she goes and earlier this week Rick Perry was challenged on DADT by a 14 year old bisexual high school student.
