Gibson has been a consistent supporter of LGBT equality. While in the state house, she supported repealing Florida's ban on LGBT adoption; voted in favor of a fully inclusive safe schools policy; and voted against a bill that would have prohibited state universities from offering domestic partnership benefits to employees.
