Congratulations!  By supporting the work of Gay-Straight Alliances, you are helping to create a safe learning environment that is welcoming and free of harassment and bullying for all students. 

The Florida GSA Network is a program of Equality Florida dedicated to promoting safe schools by helping GSAs form and grow through peer support, leadership development and student empowerment. 

By supporting GSAs, the Network helps students to:

1. create safe schools where students support each other in a fear-free environment,
2. educate their school community about homophobia, gender identity and sexual orientation issues, and
3. fight discrimination, harassment and violence in schools.
   The Network provides students with numerous resources to aid them in the success of their clubs, including an online GSA registry and discussion board, legal artillery for clubs that are banned or pressured to disband, leadership training and an annual gathering of student leaders. 

This GSA Handbook and Resource Guide contains a lot of information to help you get started. It also lists local, state and national organizations that are ready to support you. If you have any questions or need further assistance with your club, please contact the Network:
